The Springfield Township Cemetery has been in existence for many, many years. There are 43 graves of Union soldiers and many from other wars long ago. The Township continues to preserve, repair, and/or replace these deteriorating headstones.

The Township recently opened a new section in the back portion of the cemetery off Annin St. across from the existing section in adjacent to the railroad tracks. The township will only be accepting cremations in Section J at a cost of $200.
