Road Maintenance Superintendent
 Bill
started his career with Springfield Township March 6, 1980, as a maintenance
worker. He was also a fire fighter for 12 years and served as Assistant Deputy
Fire Chief at Fire Station #3 from 1984 to 1991. On January 2, 2003, Bill was
hired as Road Maintenance Superintendent to replace Bill Geiser, who retired at
year end. Bill is responsible for overseeing the road maintenance crews’ daily
activities as well as equipment maintenance, leaf collection and snow plowing.
He also supervises the maintenance of township parks, cemetery and fire
stations. Bill is a life-long resident of Springfield Township and a 1966
graduate of Springfield High School. Bill also enjoys motorcycle racing, camping
and traveling. He and his wife, Barb, have been members of Providence Lutheran
Church for 30 years. They have two children and five grandchildren.
