Springfield Township is responsible for snow removal on Township roads only
(employees of Lucas County plow the County roads). Our road crews are
notified by the County Sheriff 's Office when roads become slippery , hazardous,
and
impassable. Township personnel are on the job within minutes of that call.
Snow removal is not provided for the following private streets or developments:
Springfield Township will repair a mailbox if damaged by a (township) snowplow.
It may be replaced (only if damaged beyond repair) with a standard post and mailbox.
During
winter weather advisories
please avoid parking in the streets so snowplows
can clear your streets safely and
effectively.
