LEAF PICK-UP

 Springfield Township will begin collecting leaves on October 24th and end approximately December 16th, weather permitting.   Please ensure that you comply with the following:

Please rake leaves into rows along edge of curb and not in the street.

Do not mix grass, trash, branches, stones, or other materials in with the leaves.

Leaves must be accessible for crews to pick-up.  Please remove parked cars from streets, do not place leaves behind mailboxes or utility poles. 

Leaves are not picked up in:

s   Apartment complexes,

s   Mobile Home Parks

s   private streets/roads

s   CASTLE OAK

s   EMBASSY COURT

s   FOREST GLEN in STONE OAK

s   HIDDEN HARBOUR

s   WOLF CREEK ESTATES

s   TREETOP LANE

s   TREMORE

During winter weather advisories

please avoid parking in the streets so snowplows

can clear your streets safely and effectively.

 

Springfield Township is responsible for snow removal on Township roads only (employees of Lucas County plow the County roads).  Our road crews are notified by the County Sheriff 's Office when roads become slippery , hazardous, and impassable.  Township personnel are on the job within minutes of that call.  Snow removal is not provided for the following private streets or developments:

  • all Mobile Home Parks                                                                     

  • Treetop Lane

  • Castle Oak and Forest Glen in Stone Oak

  • Tremore

  • Hidden Harbour

  • Wolf Creek Estates

  • Embassy Court

Springfield Township will repair a mailbox if damaged by a (township) snowplow.

It may be replaced (only if damaged beyond repair) with a standard post and mailbox.

Recycling dumpsters are available to township residents to recycle cans, glass, paper, newspaper & cardboard.  These dumpsters are located behind the Administration Building.
