Springfield Township Parks: Community Homecoming Park 7807 Angola Road
Community Homecoming Park was donated for $1.00 to the township to
operate in 1995 by the Community Homecoming Corporation. Grants from the State
of Ohio were instrumental in the development of the park as it stands today. The
township is responsible for its care and maintenance. The corporation stages the
annual Strawberry Festival in June each year. This festival attracts thousands
of visitors that partake in the season's fresh strawberries, carnival games and
rides. The park has multiple baseball diamonds and soccer fields, a gazebo and
shelter house that can be rented for special occasions, a playground and a
fishing pond with boardwalk. Plans for the future include a bike path and
walking trails. This year, Springfield Township, along with Springfield Schools
and Village of Holland, will also sponsor a community fireworks display at the
park. MORE INFORMATION
